Is Invisalign® the right treatment for me?
Invisalign® can correct most problems related to tooth alignment and bite. so it is undoubtedly a good choice as it is the most aesthetic type of orthodontics on the market.
How do I clean my aligners?
When you start your Invisalign treatment, , the starter kit comes with small crystals that you can immerse in a glass of water along with the aligners to clean them. There are also effervescent tablets to clean them, for example the Corega brand, like the ones used for dentures. However, in my opinion, the best way to clean them is with a toothbrush (other than the one we use for our teeth) and put a drop of normal liquid hand soap on it and brush them to avoid saliva build-up and bad smells and tastes.
Can I drink with Invisalign® on?
Of course to eat it is necessary to remove themhowever for certain beverages it would not be necessary taking into account a series of recommendations. Water can be drunk without any problem of course, but we have to avoid drinks with strong colours (coffee, tea, red wine...) as their colourings can stain the aligners and also our teeth as they are retained between the aligners and our teeth. For clear beverages, such as beer, lemon cola, white wine... we can drink with the aligners in place because there is no risk of staining, but we must bear in mind that anything that is not water contains sugars, sweeteners or gas, which can be retained and cause caries or sensitivity if we leave it for too long. That is why it is recommended that if we do this, when possible, we remove them, rinse our mouth and aligners and put them back in to keep them in for as many hours as possible.
Are my teeth going to be 100% corrected?
